Conrad Avondale Mainwaring is expected to enter a guilty plea on Feb. 8 to charges of indecent assault and battery on boys 14 or younger, the Berkshire County District Attorney said. He was facing 12 counts, but it is unclear how many he will admit to.

Mainwaring worked as a camp counselor at Camp Greylock for Boys, which taught sports in Becket, Massachusetts, where the alleged abuse took place. His trial was set to begin in September.

He moved to California in the 1980s and remained on the West Coast until he was brought back to Massachusetts to stand trial in 2021, ESPN reported

ESPN unmasked the 1976 Summer Olympics hurdler in 2019 when they unveiled a three-year investigation where they found 50 men who said Mainwaring molested them beginning in the 1970s and up through 2016.

He was also arrested in 2009 in Los Angeles and charged with sexual battery by fraud.
